No side has ever won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League in a single season.

The 24-year-old was rested for the FA Cup third-round clash at Watford on Saturday and will be eager to test himself against the best defence in England's top flight.

Whether they are on the wholesale scale we saw against Leicester is another matter. Joe Bryan will be hoping for more of the same after his solitary strike against Manchester United in the quarter-finals was voted goal of the round.

Bristol City have already seen off Stoke City, Crystal Palace and, of course, Manchester United so Pep Guardiola's men will not be taking this challenge lightly.

The runaway Premier League leaders maintained their relentless charge in four competitions by reaching the FA Cup fourth round at Burnley's expense on Saturday.

Not that City fans should be complaining too much as if the system they use in Italy's Serie A is anything to go by, we should forget about it all together.

"It's important (to win trophies)". Last season, they went behind on 18 occasions, but came back to win only four times. To become a big club like the teams I have faced, or teams like (Manchester) United or Liverpool, with a really big history, you have to win.

"Nobody can take away what we've done so far". It is nice to have good performances but you have to lift the titles.

"In saying that, I do believe in the qualities in our squad and the challenge is to make sure we play our game".

Squad rotation could be in Guardiola's thoughts amid Man City's busy run of fixtures across three competitions - the league, the FA Cup, and the League Cup - but he could choose to go hard in the first leg and try to have the semifinal all but secured before heading to Bristol for the return match on January 23.

Added to this is the somewhat weird decision for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to be used only the Chelsea v Arsenal game and not over the two legs between Manchester City and Bristol City. We just have to give it our all.

Claudio Bravo, Danilo, Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko all started in the FA Cup and the quartet could retain their place in the starting line-up.

"We need to do our best to ensure we stay in the tie coming back to Ashton Gate". In midfield, David Silva will not be available as he is once again given leave of absence to return to his family in Spain.

Bristol City are without long-term absentees Jens Hegeler, Gary O'Neil, Callum O'Dowda and Ivan Lucic.
