Liverpool offered chance to hijack Man Utd's £40m winger transfer

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN winger Lucas Moura is being chased by Manchester United and Liverpool, but his move to England could be scuppered by his wife.

That could work in Liverpool's favour with the club still in Europe's biggest club competition.

Brazil wing forward Lucas Moura has emerged as a key target for reigning Europa League champions Manchester United.

In case you didn't know.

Accordingly, the Ligue 1 giants reported recently that he's only acknowledging a move to the Old Trafford outfit.

And he all but admitted it was down to Neymar and Mbappe.

PSG need to sell some players so as to not fall foul of UEFA's financial fair play rule and it seems like manager Unai Emery has given the green light to sell the talented Brazilian star.

The Man United boss has responded to a galling 0-0 draw with Southampton by giving his attacking players, along with Paul Pogba, greater freedom to roam the pitch in an attempt to make his side less predicable in attack - a formula that worked wonders during the 2-0 win at Goodison Park.

The 25-year-old has made no secret of his desire to join the Red Devils in the past, admitting that he came close to signing for Sir Alex Ferguson's side in 2012.

Lucas Moura, at his best, can simply tear apart opposing defences with his pace, dribbling skills and trickery.

Le 10 Sport report Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has not intention of buying Lucas this January, but has told PSG that if they are considering a loan move, then Spurs may formalise an offer.

Lucas Moura is certainly a gamble worth taking for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho.
