A spokesperson for Ant revealed to The Sun: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin".
The statement first read and then went on to say, "Ant asks for privacy at this hard time for both himself, Lisa, and their immediate families". 'No further statement will be made'.
Ant had reportedly wanted to come clean much sooner, and they were later said to be holding emotional crisis talks in a bid to save their marriage, but it seems despite working hard to keep things together they've ultimately made a decision to call time on their 11-year marriage.

The relationship had reportedly been under strain after the 42-year-old TV star entered rehab for addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol last summer.
The former couple had been together for 23 years having first met on the Smash Hits tour in Newcastle in 1994 when he was 18 and Lisa then 17, was performing with teen pop group Deuce. They're best friends. She's always stood by him and been supportive.
A source close to Ant added to The Sun On Sunday: "This was a tough decision for Ant but he has to do the right thing for his health".
"The marriage has effectively been struggling for eight months".
"Gutted for Ant and Lisa" wrote one fan, with another adding, 'Really sad to hear that Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong have not been able to work things out'. "In hindsight, I should have mentioned it earlier but you're embarrassed about it".
They went on to say that Lisa was his priority.
Ant had initially hidden his addictions from Lisa and his best friend and presenting partner Declan Donnelly.
"They are getting divorced".
Speaking previously, the Saturday Night Takeaway star said: 'I've put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.
Despite rumours of a rift between the couple, Lisa responded to questions about the status of the couples marriage by tweeting that she hadn't been out to Australia with Ant for 10 years.
McPartlin has often spoken of the couple's struggle to have children. She's constantly working - sometimes more than me!'
