The officials added that the sentry saw two militants carrying bags and AK 47 rifles approaching the camp of the 23 battalion of CRPF in Karan Nagar area around 4.30 am.

However, the attackers fled the spot after the alert CRPF personnel opened fire. "He challenged them and opened fire as well", a spokesman of the CRPF said.

Merely two days after an attack on the Indian Army soldiers at Sunjuwan camp, terrorists on Monday targeted CRPF camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar. Six army personnel and six civilians are injured.
