After arresting Minjarez, investigators said they found a body and they think it is of 7-month-old Jody Minjarez.
Oklahoma City police say authorities found the body Wednesday of Jody Minjarez.
The search for a missing 7-month-old baby out of Norman has come to a tragic end.
The child's father, Victor Minjarez, was jailed on complaints of first-degree murder and unlawful disposal of human remains.
On Feb. 23, the child's mother obtained an emergency Victim Protective Order (VPO) that ordered the baby to be returned to her. Minjarez later sent a text message to a friend saying the child's mother would never see her son again, according to KFOR.
According to Cleveland County Court records, Victor Minjarez was charged Wednesday with one count of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor - a criminal misdemeanor.
Because of this, police believed Jody Minjarez was in imminent danger of bodily harm or death.
Wednesday morning, authorities issued an Amber Alert in the case but canceled the alert several hours later after police found Victor at the home in Oklahoma City.
The man arrested in connection with an Amber Alert has been arrested on two complaints including murder, according to Oklahoma County jail records.
An Oklahoma City police spokesman said Thursday he expected to have more information soon.
Although police said Minjarez was in custody, they said they were still searching for the baby. Check back for updates.
