Huawei Y9 (2018), mid-range smartphone is finally introduced by the brand in Thailand

Huawei has officially unveiled a mid-range smartphone Huawei Y9 (2018) in Thailand.

Huawei has added an all-new smartphone to its portfolio, Y9 (2018), which boasts the edge-to-edge display and dual-cameras as its highlights. Price of the smartphone is yet to be announced, however, it is likely to cost somewhere around 200 Euros (approximately Rs 16,000).

The Huawei Y9 (2018) is equipped with a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display offering full HD+ resolution. Other features include dual-SIM support and fingerprint sensor.

Optimized for portrait pictures, the front camera captures in 13MP and 2MP, respectively, and features a Flash Selfie Toning, which is delivering high-brightness and high-quality photos. The notched handsets also have a dual camera setup on back except for the P20 Pro.

As for the camera, the Y9 (2018) smartphone sports a setup similar to the Mate 10 Lite where we see a 16 MP primary camera along with a 2 MP secondary camera on the back, for better depth sensing. A new leak suggests that the P20 series will launch with Android 8.1 pre-installed, along with the EMUI 8.1 skin.

Many of you guys might be upset with the second camera as it has only 2 MP. So, it is a bang for the buck.

Inside it, the Kirin 659 is in charge of things, Huawei's own chip now dominating the company's mid-tier lineup (for example, Honor 9 Lite, P smart, and the Mate 10 Lite, of course, have it).
