Kejriwal's advisor VK Jain resigns citing 'personal reasons'

VK Jain, Witness In Delhi Chief Secretary Assault Case And Delhi CM Kejriwal's Advisor Resigns

On Tuesday, Congress leaders Arvinder Singh Lovely and Subash Chopra led by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ajay Maken went to the residence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

VK Jain, the advisor to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has resigned citing personal reasons and family commitments, days after he was questioned by police in connection with the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, sources said on Tuesday.

The all-party meeting ended up being an AAP and Congress meeting, with the BJP boycotting.

Sisodia also said that the BJP does not want to find a solution to the sealing drive.

The sealing drive, which started in December 2017 on orders of the Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee, has affected markets across the city. "The different parties will put forward their views", Sisodia said.

Attacking the BJP-led Centre, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, "The central government passed four ordinances to amend the Land Acquisition Act and took the same route to allow Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu after the Supreme Court ban".

Meanwhile, the BJP has made a decision to boycott the all-party meet called by Kejriwal even as the AAP slammed Tiwari for touring overseas at a time when city traders were facing problems. They did not want to participate in today's meeting. More than half a dozen policemen were deployed additionally apart from the regular security deployment outside the CM's residence for the meeting.

While Kejriwal previously assured them of all help and even wrote to PM Narendra Modi, he has now called for an all-party meeting in a letter which read that 'there is a need for us to rise above party lines to find a solution to the sealing issue.' He has also requested that only three members of each party attend the meeting 'so that we can come to a fruitful solution'.

"We have given a representation to the CM, and will send this to the BJP also, in which we have divided the city into six parts". "The reason behind sealing is anomalies in the law". He also advised Kejriwal to move court.

"The Congress delegation agreed today to make joint efforts to stop sealing. Because it is not being done now, there is chaos", Maken said. Sisodia replie: "We have completed all preparations for the notification of these roads even though these are out of sealing purview".

Sisodia said the BJP could resolve the issue "immediately" if it wanted to."The BJP has the government at the Centre".
