The new series is a musical comedy that tells a story of how about a family of caretakers that lives in Central Park in New York City.
The new animated comedy show called "Central Park", and is being developed by Loren Bouchard, the creator of Bob's Burgers. Gad and Bouchard will write the script for the show, and serve as executive producers, while Nora Smith, who also worked on Bob's Burgers, will be a consultant. It's unclear why it chose to go with Apple instead of its own corporate entity. This move marks a rare one for 20th Century Fox Television, selling work outside the Fox corporate family. Perhaps Apple made a more generous offer or For's TV studio wants to put its content on more distribution platforms.
Apple had added yet another show to its growing list of to be produced original content.
The series has an all-star cast including Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs, and Kathryn Hahn. Given that we're only just hearing about this now, it might take a while before Central Park is released.
