Heather Locklear Charged With Misdemeanor Battery Against First Responders

On Tuesday, Heather Locklear was charged with multiple counts of battery against law enforcement following her arrest last month on suspicion of domestic violence.

Locklear was taken into custody after deputies found evidence to support the claim that Locklear had battered her boyfriend, causing injury, authorities said.

The 56-year-old "Melrose Place" actress was charged Monday with four misdemeanor counts of battery on an officer or emergency personnel, and one misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer.

Representatives for Locklear did not immediately respond to The Times' request for comment Tuesday morning.

Locklear, who is now in rehab following her arrest, is set to be arraigned on Tuesday in Ventura.

The actress allegedly told police officers their children "deserve...to die" before threatening to shoot them in a profanity-filled rant during her arrest in late February, a Saturday report stated.
