Varun says it was in his next, October with Shoojit Sircar that he felt his most real on screen. Not because one actor is doing good in films. "I think this is the right way to cast a film where the motivation is not to cast someone who is doing well (commercially)". When he narrated the film to me and told me why he wants to make the film, I was so moved.
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has opened up about his actor Varun Dhawan, who he is working with in "October". An intense love story picturised by fabulous cinematography set against a winter backdrop, the film looks to bring typical Bollywood romance flavours. I said as a process to prepare for the film, don't check your phone first thing in the morning as was his habit and instead as soon as you get up, go and sit on front of a plant and watch it for ten minutes.
The actor further added "When I sign a film, I look at the script more than anything, and how much the maker is putting in the film".
"They cast me before Judwaa 2 and Badrinath (Badrinath ki Dulhania) released. It was a very different experience", Varun said.

The film is set to hit cinema houses on April 13.
