Sega has announced a remaster of the original two Shenmue games during tonight's Twitch live stream.
The first Shenmue originally launched in 1999 and, at the time of its release, had the distinction of being the most expensive video game ever created. Truly barmy. If you'd told us five years ago that we'd be able to play a full Shenmue trilogy on the PS4, we'd have not-so subtly laughed in your face. The PC version of the game will only see its digital release through Steam.
"Since their original release, Shenmue I & II have established a passionate following and are revered as one of gaming's greatest series of all time", wrote Sega in a press release. Players will have the option of Japanese or English voiceovers, modern or classic controls, scalable resolution, and "PC graphics options".
