Donald Glover to Host & Perform on 'Saturday Night Live'!

Actor, director and musician Donald Glover, has been revealed to be hosting and performing as a musical guest at Saturday Night Live on May 5. Glover will host an episode of the long-running NBC sketch comedy show on May 5.

Inevitably, people online began making jokes about how Donald Glover will doing both host and musical guest roles. The announcement was made during Saturday's John Mulaney-led broadcast.

The multi-hyphenate talent behind FX's Atlanta will serve as host in his show debut for SNL, and his MC alter ego Childish Gambino will also perform as the night's musical guest.

Donald will be hitting the big screen in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story on May 25.

Around the time he landed his role on Community, Glover was also working as a writer on 30 Rock, a comedy series created by SNL legend Tina Fey. His most recent album as Childish Gambino arrived in 2016 with the critically acclaimed Awaken, My Love! LP.
