At first, these were thought of as rumors but then Carl Pei from Oneplus exclusively revealed the first look of the smartphone to The Verge which ended all rumors spreading regarding the design of Oneplus 6.
OnePlus co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Pete Lau took to Chinese social media network Weibo earlier today to reveal the first known camera samples of the OnePlus 6, the company's next Android flagship expected to be announced in the coming weeks. As per earlier reports, it was claimed that the new model will come up with the Blue color variant, along with the usual Black and White.
Powering the new OnePlus 6 will be the all-new octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm, which will be paired with an Adreno 630 graphics processing unit (GPU). So, even though these pictures do not necessarily guarantee that OnePlus 6 will have a telephoto lens, it is safe to assume that it will, for now.
OnePlus has not officially confirmed the release date for the smartphone, though some leaks have claimed it could launch in May in China. The phone will sport a 6.28-inch optic LED display offering a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19:9.
When it comes to pricing, the OnePlus 6 is said to cost twice as much as the OnePlus 5T. Needless to say, the display will have a notch at the top just like the iPhone X. There will be a OnePlus 6 variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is the highest one the company has ever offered. The new setup focused more on improving the camera's performance in low-light settings. The arrangement of the lenses has changed to a vertical array, as compared to the horizontal lenses on the OnePlus 5T. With only limited information available at the moment, we are not sure if all the variants of the smartphone will reach the Indian market. As for your selfies, the OnePlus 6 features a 20MP f/2.0 front camera which will take care of that.
OnePlus 6 might not have an official release date, but the number of leaks we've seen around the flagship OnePlus phone have confirmed most of all the features.
