But even after the game, Mitchell would downplay his foot injury.

An MRI on Donovan Mitchell's injured left foot came back negative late Sunday as the Jazz rookie has been cleared for Game 2 against the Thunder, ESPN.com reported.

The Rookie of the Year candidate left the game in the fourth quarter to get an X-ray on his foot, only to fight through the pain and return to the court with 7:47 remaining. He returned to the contest shortly thereafter though after being spotted on the bench begging to be let back in.

Mitchell exited Game 1 after the Jazz training staff noticed he was limping, but it appears Mitchell has avoided serious injury.

As soon as it became official that the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder would be battling one another in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, Jazz fans knew their team was in for a tough series. However, it was clear that he was still a bit shaken up and head coach Quin Snyder chose to pull him from the game once again. "I ain't never sit out playoff games". "I'm sure he'll undergo further imaging, and we'll update that tomorrow".
