Hazard is also aware that his next contract could be one of the last he signs during the prime of his career, adding: "That's why I'm taking my time".
"We're Chelsea. We need trophies", Hazard said.
Chelsea has recently offered Hazard a new massive £300,000 a week contract, to keep him at the Blues.
"Yeah, [I have to think about] a lot of things, and then we will see".
But he said: "I'm waiting for new players next season".
However, Herrera who is preparing to face Hazard this Saturday as Jose Mourinho's men take on Antonio Conte's side in the FA Cup final at Wembley, believes the Belgium worldwide should still be considered the Premier League's best player.
"I don't think about that", Hazard said.
I just want to win for me and them also.' Antonio Conte is in line to leave Chelsea this summer, regardless of the result at Wembley this weekend.
While he won't be playing in the Champions League next season, after Chelsea were beaten by Liverpool and Tottenham to a place in the top four, at least Hazard is close to completing one of his goals.
Any supporters seeking reassurance that Saturday's FA Cup final with Manchester United would not be Hazard's last match for Chelsea could take some encouragement from his words yesterday.
But the Blues finished fifth this term and have failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
"... I think the FA Cup final is not my last game for Chelsea". It's more important for me as I've never won this one [the FA Cup].
"It's always hard after you win the league". This season was not good but you know. this is Chelsea!
Ander Herrera is just one name that has sung the Chelsea winger's praises, claiming that he's still "the best player in the league."
'I know I was the protaganist after the game because of the man-marking. We have not qualified for the Champions League.
"If we can't be in the Champions League we need the trophy".
It was previously unknown why Hazard has not extended his stay at the club, but now the former Lille player has answered those questions. After the World Cup then we will be ready for the next season. So, yes, it was a bad season.
'We (the players) give everything. I've never won the FA Cup. Now we can save a little bit this season, with this trophy.
