Neymar will remain a hot topic of debate in the transfer market ahead of a timely return to fitness before the World Cup with Brazil this summer.

With that in mind, it's no surprise he was named as the best player in Ligue 1 for the 2017-18 season.

On Sunday, the central defender was speaking to Canal Football after being crowned champions of France and Marquinhos backed what president Nasser Al Khelaifi said, " I have the feeling that Neymar will stay.

"If Neymar doesn't leave PSG he will never win anything important", the 46-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport.

There is however more pressing matters at hand for him with the PSG star set to lead Brazil's charge for their sixth World Cup triumph. Brazil has been formed in Group-E with Costa Rica, Serbia and Switzerland. If he is to gain match practice before the World Cup his chances will come in warm-up games against Croatia in Liverpool on June 3 and against Austria in Vienna three days later.

The 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup will kick off on June 14th with hosts Russian Federation taking on Saudi Arabia in a Group A encounter at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow.
