When does the window open and close?
Premier League clubs can get their summer business done earlier than ever because the transfer window is going to open this Thursday.
It will then close at 5pm on August 9 - instead of August 31, which it has been in previous years.
Premier League clubs voted last September for an earlier open and close, with the likes of Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho urging the league to approve the move.
What are the transfer windows like in other leagues?
The window will officially open on May 17 - just four days after the end of the season and means business may also be conducted while the World Cup in Russian Federation is taking place. In Italy and Germany it will be on July 1 and in Spain it will be on July 2.
The thinking behind it from the clubs is that players will not become unsettled with transfer speculation once the season has kicked off on August 11.
All four leagues will close on August 31.
It opened on Monday, May 7 for domestic transfers.
Press Association Sport understands officials have opted to pull the opening back to next Thursday in order to comply with a FIFA rule which requires at least one window to open for 12 weeks.
