While no auto maker is offering the fully integrated experience yet, Amazon is promising much the same - the ability to do searches, navigation, home automation, check your calendar and more.

USA investment bank Morgan Stanley is sharing information, including market insights, with customers via the Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

Amazon is giving this choice to developers through their Polly text-to-speech service. It will give skills more varied personalities, which should lead to a richer experience - or at least that's the idea.

Polly will let skill developers choose from eight different English voices and a wide variety of non-English voices.

Way back in January 2017 at CES 2017 BMW and Nissan announced that the companies would be bringing Microsoft's Cortana to your vehicle as part of its Connected auto vision.

Developers today may already be using multiple voices in their skills, but the process of doing so is more cumbersome and rigid, as with mp3 file uploads.

Amazon now has a number of different voices with different dialects and accents developers can now bundle into their skills, according to the company's website.

Amazon Polly is a text-to-speech service that uses advanced deep learning technologies to synthesize speech that sounds like a natural human voice.
