Foster, who has pleaded not guilty, was charged with domestic violence, forcibly attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime and illegal possession of an assault rifle during a February 11 altercation with former girlfriend Elissa Ennis.
49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters in April that Foster would not remain on the team if the charges against him are proven true. "I didn't want to get this far in the news". Ennis, however, changed her story since the initial accusation to say that Foster actually didn't hit her and said that she was attacked by another woman. Ennis said. "I really wanted to kill him".
She also claimed in court that all of her statements to police were lies, and that she began recanting them two days later.
"I told him I'm about to f- yo s- up, make sure you don't have a job tomorrow". Shortly after the fight Foster attempted to end the relationship, and that's when Ennis went into panic mode. However, on Thursday, she admitted that she had lied about that too. Today, she had her chance to testify under oath on these charges and took that opportunity to reveal that she made all of it up to ruin Foster's career. According to Inman, Ennis testified that she falsely accused an ex-boyfriend of domestic assault in 2011.
