Frontier Airlines will soon be offering service to nine new cities from San Antonio.
"We are pleased to return to Fargo and introduce a new and more affordable way to travel to and from the area", said Richard Oliver, spokesperson for Frontier Airlines.
The low-priced airline now originates direct flights from Cleveland Hopkins to Austin, Tex.; Cancun, Mexico; Denver; Fort Myers, Fla.; Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Fla.; Portland, Ore.; Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, N.C; and Seattle.
The new San Antonio route comes on the heels of the airline's new service to Austin, Texas, which launched in April. It also means Frontier will become the largest carrier in San Antonio, in regards to destinations served.
The new San Antonio flights begin August 12, and operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. For ticket information, visit the airline's website. This empowers more people than ever before to fly. Two daily flights between Newark and San Antonio start in October.
Last fall, Mayor Ron Nirenberg appointed a committee of business, aviation, and tourism experts to help gather and analyze data that will help City officials determine the best course for enhancing air transportation in San Antonio.
