Halo: Fireteam Raven announced, 130-inch 4K arcade cabinet

A New Halo Fireteam Raven Arcade Video Game Is Coming Out Later This Year

Halo Arcade Game Coming This Year

For some gamers, their fondest and earliest memories are of long hours and countless quarters spent in a local arcade blasting through their favorite adventures. For all the Halo fans and the fans of Xbox, they will be glad to know that there is a very exciting event planned for the attendees. The new game comes from a partnership between 343 Industries and arcade game companies Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix and is set within the timeframe of Halo: Combat Evolved. Players will work together to defeat enemies through an on-rails experience, across locations from the first game.

With a 130-inch 4K display and four turret-mounted guns, like many arcade shooters, Halo: Fireteam Raven is built for four-player cooperative play. You won't play as Master Chief, however, as players take the role of ODST troops fighting Covenant aliens for control of the ringworld alongside the series star and other familiar characters.

Fireteam Raven has you playing as one of an elite quartet of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers that are dropped onto Alpha Halo to prevent the bad guys from getting hands on the Halo superweapon. For more information on Halo: Fireteam Raven, check out a couple of screenshots of the game in action, as well as the initial announcement trailer. There is a QRC code that is scannable on the game that connects progress in the arcade game with your Halo Waypoint account so you can compare scores and progress. There is now no release date for the game, but they hinted that it will be available sometime this summer.

"We couldn't be happier to announce this project and have had an absolute blast working with Eugene Jarvis - one of my personal heroes and inspirations - and the wonderful team of talented designers and creators at Raw Thrills", said Kiki Wolfkill, Head of Halo Transmedia at 343 Industries.
