One of the German's key targets is Nabil Fekir, and according to the Mirror, the France worldwide has already told Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas that he wants to join the Reds. Today, Nabil Fekir is closing-in on a move to Liverpool....
Liverpool have already completed one signing this summer, with Fabinho joining from Monaco earlier this week.
According to Canal Plus' Romain Collet-Gaudin, the 24-year-old is expected to discuss the final detail of his proposed move to Anfield and a medical could soon follow with the Reds keen on wrapping the deal prior to the summer World Cup.
Fekir has featured in both matches.
He went further and said that president Jean-Michel Aulas want to wait until after the World Cup finals, which might increase the fee they can charge Liverpool.
Goal reported last week that Liverpool were ready to step up their pursuit of Fekir in a deal that could be worth £60 million (€69m/$80m).
Grobbelaar, who played for Liverpool between 1981 and 1994, added: "They should keep him in the spotlight from next season".
Speaking to Le Progres, Fekir's agent Jean-Pierre Bernes explained: "I did not leave Marseille (this weekend), I am with my family".
"I would be amazed if there are not other big clubs interested, but Liverpool are slowly making their way back not only to the top of the English game, but the top of the European game".
'The window will be long'.
Recent reports had suggested that Bayern are Liverpool's main rivals for Fekir, so fans will be buoyed that the Bavarians haven't sought to rival them yet. Let us know in the comments section.
