Doom Eternal announced, and it's bringing double the demons to Earth

How long will you have to wait to rip and tear your way through a new host of demons?

Unfortunately, that's all we know for now.

The very first trailer for Doom Eternal dropped during Bethesda's E3 showcase. Hopefully we'll get a release date then too. However, beyond those sparse trinkets, not much more information was forthcoming other than the fact that they will be revealing more detailed information on Doom Eternal this August at the annual Quake Con event in Texas.

The demonic destruction of Doom won't be limited to Mars (and Hell) any longer. During its E3 2018 press conference executive producer Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin said the game would take everything that the previous game did and push it forward.

How do you make a sequel to the demon-destroying delirium that was Doom 2016? The name is interesting; we're not sure if it's a straight sequel to the last game, or if it's something more, like an open world, perhaps. Many shooters chase the thrill Doom delivers, but few are as potent in their execution.
