Marvel’s Spider-Man Lights Up E3 With Stunning New Gameplay Footage

"When we hit upon the Mongol invasion of Tsushima of 1274, it all clicked", explains Nate Fox, Game Director at Sucker Punch.

Sony showed off a bunch of spectacular games during their E3 conference this week, but none more lovely than Ghost of Tsushima.

What is Ghost of Tsushima and when does it come out?

This is a new third-person game from Remedy, the same studio that developed Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. Control will be coming sometime in 2019. It's clear to see that Ghost of Tsushima is really nailing a distinct and cinematic aesthetic, instantly evoking romanticised imagery from classic samurai movies.

After months of speculation, we now know what Death Stranding's gameplay actually looks like - though it's still left us with plenty of questions.

Among the new IP was the open-world samurai game Ghost of Tsushima, which looks both gorgeous and loads of fun.

Although the wait is nearly over, we now have a new trailer that is sure to blow everyone's minds. Electro was the cause of all the commotion, releasing loads of criminals that attacked Spidey for some very Batman: Arkham-esque combat. While the earlier demo seen during the conference was focused on welcoming Spider-Man's iconic villains into the fold, the gameplay demo gave a better impression of how the game will function moment to moment.

We spent a ton of time working with our friends at Marvel Games to ensure we got characters like Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Electro just right.

Spidey gets the crap beaten out of him before the trailer teases the reveal of one more villain. In Deracine, you play as a faerie - a spirit summoned by a young girl in a boarding school.
