United States celebrity chef Chef Anthony Bourdain found dead at 61

Anthony Bourdain was found dead yesterday morning with CNN reporting at the time that he had died in an apparent suicide.

French authorities confirmed on Saturday, June 9, that there was no evidence of foul play or violence in Bourdain's death.

Bourdain was in Haut-Rhin in France doing an episode of "Parts Unknown". "His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds", the Italian actress wrote.

He leaves behind his 11 year old daughter Ariane Bourdain.

Bourdain said his youth was punctuated by drug use and he dropped out of Vassar College after two years. But he thrived in restaurant kitchens, and that work led him to the Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated in 1978. He became executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles in 1998. 'I will find myself in an airport for instance and I'll order a airport hamburger. "I would have had a different answer a few years ago".

In 2016, Bourdain shared the simple meal with Mr Obama at the restaurant.

"The new celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon".

The chef was loved by people all over the world. Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
