Infinity War, which passed the $1 billion mark faster than any film, took only 48 days to double that, having grossed $2,001,136,398; a level that puts the film amongst rarefied film industry air of the $2 Billion Club, joining 2009's Avatar ($2.78 billion), 1997's Titanic ($2.18 billion) and 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06B).

"Infinity War" is one of only four movies to ever reach $2 billion at the global box office. It also holds the record for biggest domestic debut, raking in $257.7 million during its opening weekend. Infinity War is expected to surpass Titanic in the next week, putting it directly behind Black Panther's $699,389,760 total.

The supersized superhero hit Avengers: Infinity War has crossed $2 billion in worldwide ticket sales, becoming only the fourth film to reach that rarified box-office milestone. And that's not all -domestically, Infinity War is the fifth highest grossing film of all time with $656.1 million.

The House of Mouse has had a huge year with its Marvel Studios brand thanks to "Infinity War" and the cultural phenomenon "Black Panther". In China, the film's US$369.7 million gross to date ranks third all-time.

It is also the most successful Hollywood film ever released in India.

Thanos, the extremely powerful Titan warlord, managed to collect all the infinity stones putting them on his gauntlet to become the most powerful being in the universe.
