LeBron James played NBA finals with self inflicted 'broken hand'

The departure of LeBron James in Cleveland is inevitable after the Golden State Warriors swept the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

'I had emotions [that] the game was taken away from us, [that] you just don't get an opportunity like this on the road [against] Golden State to be able to get a game one, and I let the emotions get the best of me. They cruised to 67 wins, then looked utterly dominant in posting a 16-1 record in the postseason - including winning their first 15 games of the playoffs - that was capped by beating the Cavaliers in five games to win the title.

Television ratings for the game itself tells us a story of a general public that largely tuned it out. "I'm hard on myself a lot of times, but I've got to realize I've only been coaching for 2½ years". The difference between this season and the difference between my first year in Miami, we didn't have many injuries at all.

"Obviously, from a talent perspective, if you're looking at Golden State from their top five best players to our top five players, you would say they're stacked better than us".

Kevin Durant's huge Game 3 performance led the Warriors to a 110-102 win and put Golden State on the brink of sweeping LeBron James and the Cavs, who had a 13-point lead in the first half but had no answers for the Warriors in the fourth quarter.

"When you feel like you are really good at your craft, it's always great to be around other great minds and other great ballplayers", James said.

The San Antonio Spurs would also make sense for Lebron James. He was able to battle through to it all by continuing to play at an elite level averaging 34.0 points on 52.7 percent shooting along with 10.0 assists, and 8.5 rebounds per contest. And while James said he's still unsure what he will do when he can opt out his contract and hit the free agent market this summer, the 4-time MVP provided his most thorough insight to date regarding his upcoming decision.

When it was all over Friday night, there was both an arrogance and a humility to Durant - both understandable. I'm glad we came out and played a great game.

The Warriors are already well over the cap, and they will be deep into the luxury tax no matter what kind of discounts they get on those players.

"We all want something that's bigger than ourselves", Durant said after the win on Friday night.

The Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers - James' two leading suitors - are next at 7-2.

Four-time MVP James was sensational for Cleveland in the playoffs, especially in the Finals against the Warriors. Where am I going to be the happiest at?

James, 33, can opt out of his current Cavaliers deal, with plenty of teams chasing the three-time National Basketball Association champion.

Game 4, which couldn't have been much uglier for the Cavs, drew just a 27.3 rating in the Cleveland market. Cavs coach Tyronn Lue, who took a medical leave this season while battling anxiety, said he intends to return.
