After Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 32.93 crore) and Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore), Race 3 got the third-highest opening for a Salman Khan film on the occasion of Eid. Race 3 might have been bashed by various film critics across the world but the fact that it's minting moolah at the BO tells a different tale.
After collected 29+ crores "nett" on the First day, the film posted 106+ crores total on its First weekend.
The film also features Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala in pivotal roles. Fourth Salman-starrer to collect Rs 100 crore-mark in 3 days.
Race 3 has become the biggest opener from the Race franchise.
Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat continues to top the list of highest weekend openers for the year with Rs 114 crore.
The result? "Race 3" has hit the three-figure mark at the box office in the opening weekend itself.

"#Race3 hits the ball out of the park on Day 2 [Sat]..." In her 1.5 star review, she said, "Race 3 is nothing but a recycled bin of too many auto chases, explosions, buffed up characters strutting in slo-mo, and wilted lines". But this time, the film will not be posting some big totals like 300 or 400 crores. However, the film that also starred Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, had a five-day weekend as opposed to Race 3's regular weekend. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, Ajay Devgn's Raid, Kartik Aaryan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 and Alia Bhatt's Raazi were the other movies to cross the coveted mark.
However, trade experts believe the collections are likely to see a dip from Monday onwards. Race 3 is about a feud within a family of notorious arms dealers.
While the previous two films were directed by Abbas-Mustan, Remo D'Souza has helmed the latest flick.
