But, days later, the new Duchess of Sussex's outfit for the nuptials of Harry's cousin Celia McCorquodale - Princess Diana's niece - has sparked love-it-or-hate-it drama.

Meghan's easy-breezy look, however, did not go down well with trolls on social media, who criticised the dress for being baggy and ill-fitting. While the gown looked slightly baggy on the Duchess, the floaty fabric, and her matching fascinator, created the ideal outfit for the summer nuptials.

It's so fashion-forward it's not even in shops yet.

Meghan Markle's dad, Thomas Markle, has spoken out about how Prince Harry asked him if he could marry his daughter. She wore a colorful floral dress and a red fascinator.

"If she'd pulled one of her razor-sharp, bodycon power dresses from her cupboard she wouldn't have looked so approachable".

Also in attendance was Lady Kitty Spencer who caught the eye of the world at the royal wedding just one month ago.

Vogue praised the look as "luxe bohemian", and Elle said it was "gorgeous".

"I told her I thought it was fabulous and she looked attractive".

He said he was still recovering from the operation but added: "I'm doing much better".

"Meghan has wanted children for a long time", he told presenters.

She said Meghan would have "Camilla and Kate" and expert stylists helping her, "But ultimately, there's Prince Harry, and he's not about to throw his new bride under the bus".

But less than 48 hours after the Spencer family wedding, which was held at a small church in Lincolnshire, eastern England, a number of writers - and keyboard warriors - took aim at Meghan's dress, which sells for about $7000.

With the former actress becoming a member of the Royal family, Meghan has been under constant scrutiny in the past few weeks.
