Comic-Con 2018: DC's The Flash Season 5 Trailer Reveals New Villain

The Flash season 5: Chris Klein cast as villain Cicada

The Flash returns to air on October 9 on The CW.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, The Flash is from by Bonanza Productions association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. "There'll be a lot of deaths this season", teased executive producer Todd Helbing. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns that Barry Allen has become. The Flash. Now, it seems that the new season of The Flash will pit the hero against, not a speedster, but a villain who might share a link with Flash.

The best part of the season 5 trailer was the introduction of an all-new villain: Chris Klein's Cicada.

The last season of The Flash concluded with one hell of a shocker: the mysterious future girl who had been cropping up all season was actually Nora Allen, Barry and Iris' future child.

But what we really would like to talk about is how the big bad set to plague the STAR Labs crew for the next year has finally been revealed.

Are you excited to see Cicada take on the Flash next season?

"His powers present a challenge for Team Flash that they've never had to deal with before".

The Flash season 5 will also see Jessica Parker Kennedy (Barry and Iris' speedster daughter from the future) and Hartley Sawyer (the incredibly stretchy Ralph Dibney) promoted to series regulars.
