Some of these projects will be shown later this year. While we still don't know anything concrete about where the developer is taking the famed franchise, they did officially (and finally) announce that "multiple" Diablo projects are now in the works.
Community manager Brandy Camel has popped up in a new video over on the official Diablo YouTube channel, and in it, she confirms that Blizzard is working on "multiple Diablo projects". Ready your eyes for BlizzCon, we reckon. And while some of them will take longer than others, Blizzard may have something to show later this year. We hope you stay tuned, while we work to bring these Diablo experiences to life.
What could these projects be?
"Our mobile initiatives will expand their access to our iconic franchises by making them available to hundreds of millions of new players around the world", Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said during the call. At the time, a reimagining of the second game seemed unlikely, as did a full-on Diablo 4.
