Hardy finished the fight with a monstrous right hand that dropped Gordon face first to the ground before a few more shots forced referee Herb Dean to rush in and stop the contest in the opening round.

LAS VEGAS, NV - AUGUST 07: (R-L) Devonte Smith elbows Joseph Lowry in their lightweight fight during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series at the TUF Gym on August 7, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He defeated fellow former National Football League player Austen Lane on June 12 and later knocked out Tebaris Gordon on August 7 after just 17 seconds during his initial Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series matches. It was Hardy's professional debut.

Gordon brought a ideal 3-0 record into the bout, finishing all three fights early.

The difference? This time Hardy came out guns-blazing and needed just 17 seconds to improve his pro record to 2-0.

Here is how the heavyweight slugfest went down, round-by-round, including FanSided's scoring of the fight. Hardy comes out looking as angry as he did before his first DWTNCS bout, locking eyes with Gordon and not even blinking. "We got nothing but time, he needs to get some more work in". They touch gloves and they come out swinging.

The former Dallas Cowboys defensive end quieted those critics fairly quickly with each passing knockout of his opponents. He jumped on Gordon from the start and overwhelmed him with a barrage of punches.

Dana White's contract selections: White gave contracts to the aforementioned Smith and Nzechukwu and also gave one to Moffett.

The victory was impressive, but it was not enough for the UFC president to upgrade Hardy's contract status. He will remain under a developmental deal.

Greg Hardy has done it again.
