A Limited Edition 2TB PS4 Pro Is Being Released To Celebrate 500 Million PlayStations Sold

It's called the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro, and the most eye-catching feature is perhaps its translucent blue shell (with bronze trim) and matching DualShock 4 wireless controller.

Sony recently announced that the PlayStation 4 has sold over 81.2 million consoles since it's launch in late 2013, putting it way ahead of the estimated 38 million of its rival the Xbox One.

Unfortunately, only a select few will be able to get their hands on the 500 Million Edition PS4 Pro, as the $500 system will be limited to 50,000 units worldwide. Now, I wonder what the Billion Limited Edition PlayStation model will look like?

The 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 will also be available as a standalone for $64.99/€64 or the regional equivalent, and a 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset will be available separately at $99.99/€89 or equivalent. To celebrate this huge milestone Sony is rolling out the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro as a "thank you" to fans all around the world. Not only that, but it adds a 2TB hard drive, PlayStation Camera, and Vertical Stand. In this age of massive digital games, having 2TB of storage at your disposal is a handsome thing - it's just a shame we don't see this storage option more often. It's definitely been rollercoaster of a ride but well deserved. Mainly because I already have a PS4 Pro and I've already dropped the cash for the Spiderman special edition PS4 Pro.

There's only going to be 50,000 produced and it'll set you back a cool £449.99, but it does also come with a similarly designed DualShock 4 controller. And much like the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition, I think you know what happened to most of those.
