At Least Four Killed In Canada Shooting, Say Police

At least four people have been killed in a shooting in the Canadian town of Fredericton.

Police are telling residents to avoid the Brookside Drive area as they "investigate an ongoing incident".

Police responded to the area of Brookside Drive between Main Street and Ring Road just after 7 a.m. local time.

The Fredericton Firefighters Association was asking people on Facebook not to use social media to report on police locations.

Fredericton Police are telling people to stay indoors and lock their doors. She said she heard a "crack, crack, crack, four in a row" in rapid succession. The incident is ongoing.

There was no immediate information on the number of suspects or any suspected motive.
