That's the number of PlayStation VR systems that Sony announced via a blog post today it has now sold. The release date for this particular game is October 9th, 2018.

"For so many game developers whose homes proudly showcase our console collections, being able to add our own title to their ranks means the world", said Mike McTyre, Survios's Head of Studio, "We're proud of what we've created with the continued support of MGM and Sony, and we're excited for everyone to step into the ring and become a champion".

And Sony has legitimate reason to brag about its superior sales compared to its competitors, that is the Oculus VR and the HTC Vive.

First of all, PlayStation VR's list of best-selling games is topped by a supremely recognizable one: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which continues to enjoy a staying power across all platforms that's unmatched by most other titles that, like Bethesda's fantasy epic, have been on the market for close to seven years.

And to commemorate this instance, Sony has made a decision to announce the launch two upcoming games to PSVR. Creed: Rise to Glory hits PlayStation VR September 25. "Creed: Rise to Glory" features the same title character as the MGM/New Line Cinema film "Creed II", the latest movie in the "Rocky" film series, which is being released theatrically November 21. Evasion launches on October 9.

For the sci-fi oriented gamer, Sony has unveiled Evasion.

Early this morning on Twitter, the PlayStation Europe Twitter account took to the internet to announce the news with a quick thank you. The market report was based on sales figures from 30 companies, with the PlayStation VR rising to the top.

Sony is celebrating the PSVR's latest milestone in several ways.
