It will feature a 6.1-inch LCD display with an "edge-to-edge" and "top-to-bottom" screen, thus limiting its bezel size. Sales begin on October 26. The dual camera is of the 12-megapixel dual camera with dual optical image stabilization.

Three new iPhone models are reportedly set to be announced, all of which based on the design of the iPhone X. Dubbed the iPhone XS, the new additions to the smartphone family feature a number of technological improvements.

The technology giant announced three new smartphones - the iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR - at its latest live event in California, promising fans that the new products are the "most advanced" the company has ever made.

The iPhone XS Max has a starting price of $1,099 (for the 64GB variant); it is priced at $1,249 for the 256GB variant and $1,449 for the 512GB variant.

The new XR will start at £749.

The company is also expected to unveil a new version of its wireless AirPods earbuds with wireless charging and a wireless mat that will be able to charge several devices at once.

Others pointed out that it was a missed opportunity, arguing that the firm should have called its XS Max - which has the biggest iPhone display yet - the iPhone XL.

The screen sizes are 5.8-inch (458 ppi) and 6.5-inch (458 ppi), and come with Apple's 3D Touch technology and a faster version of their Face ID system.

Speaking of battery backup, Apple World's Wide Marketing Senior Vice President Phil Schiller has said that the iPhone XS's backup is 30 minutes more than the iPhone X. While iPhone XS Max will back up more than 1 hour from the iPhone X.

With edge-to-edge displays, improved water resistance, and a camera that can 'carry out a trillion operations on every photo, ' Apple's latest iPhone line-up may be its most impressive yet. There's a single physical SIM as well as an eSIM - and this may not go down well, as support is on a per-supplier basis. There may have been gasps when the price of the iPhone X was revealed past year, and there is likely to be a repeat of this when people hear price tag that will be attached to this phone when it goes on sale.

Also running on the A12 Bionic chip, iPhone XR is available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, making for a pretty good, slightly more affordable option.

The iPhone XR will be released next month with pre-orders starting on 19 October 2018 in first wave countries.

To mention some of its more impressive and useful upgrades, the Apple Watch Series 4 seems to work harder for your health, with its new ability to detect hard falls, and even take an ECG reading from your wrist.
