Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only active players with 500 or more senior club and worldwide goals after scoring an eye-catching effort during LA Galaxy's defeat by Toronto. Ibrahimovic's goal, which came minutes before half-time, sparked what had seemed to be a Galaxy comeback, with goals from Ola Kamara and Rolf Fletscher drawing them level in the second half.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't do anything by halves, so his 500th goal in professional soccer was always going to be ridiculous.

He has also scored 62 goals for Sweden. Despite equalizing the score to 3-3, the team eventually lost 5-3 on the night to the Canadian side at BMO Field and subsequently languish 8th in the Western Conference of the MLS. 'I have more goals than he has games.

"I don't know how many have scored 500 goals in their career, but I am one of them and if would feel nicer if we win the game but still, I did it so there is nothing I will hide from".

Over his illustrious club career, he also has scored for Paris Saint-Germain (156 goals), Inter Milan (66), AC Milan (56), Ajax (48), Manchester United (29), Juventus (26), Barcelona (22), and Malmo (18).

Former Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic celebrated the milestone thanks to an astonishing roundhouse finish - the 36-year-old spinning and volleying with the outside of his foot.
