Eden Hazard makes huge Chelsea revelation when asked about Real Madrid transfer

Hazard hedging his bets over Madrid move

Hazard: "If I don't go to Spain it's not a problem, I can retire at Chelsea"

Hazard has impressed for Chelsea this season, netting seven times in the Premier League to lead the likes of Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero in the race for the Golden Boot.

Asked about Madrid's pursuit of Hazard, Martinez told Cadena Ser: "Hazard can be the leader of any club and his level is very hard to reach for any player in the world". And although Hazard is very keen on joining the Los Blancos, Chelsea are aware that they need to do all they can to tie him down to Stamford Bridge.

When asked about Real's interest last week, he said: "Real Madrid is the best club in the world".

Hazard's current Chelsea contract expires in June 2020 and for all his talk of wanting to play for Spanish giants Real, there has been no dip in his form for the Blues this season.

However, the Belgian star has reassured the west London club that he won't force a move and underlined he will only leave Chelsea FC if the Blues permit his sale. But I will never look to clash with the club.

"I can finish with Chelsea".

"For example, Chelsea can win the Champions League and Belgium can win the European Championship".

Players from Spain have dominated the prestigious prize for more than a decade, mainly via Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and also, this year, with Luka Modric crowned Europe's best footballer.

"Every Chelsea fan in London and around the world loves Eden Hazard. What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that's it".

CHELSEA want to win titles, not sell players, and that is why selling Eden Hazard would be hard for them.

Chelsea and Hazard have a tough weekend ahead as Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
