UEFA's disciplinary arm fined United 5,000 euros for the late arrival of the team bus, and a further 10,000 euros for the late kick-off, while United manager Jose Mourinho was also warned over the delay.

Asked if he had responded to the FA, Mourinho said: "Yes I did, but I don't comment".

Hazard is expecting to be on the end of some rough treatment from United's players at Stamford Bridge. I think it is quite simple: the less that Hazard gets off the ball, the less of a threat he is, so if someone can get tight on him pretty early on then hopefully he passes the ball off every time or we get a tackle on him. "Chelsea is led by intelligent and experienced people and they would never sell Eden to Man United", he said.

Chelsea will move to the top of the standings with victory over United in West London.

Manchester United can ill afford to lose more ground on their title rivals Manchester City, Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC, considering the Red Devils are already seven points off the pace.

"Their results speak by themselves", said Mourinho.

"My players, they care".

"Some of the players looked depressed in the first half with the result, and with the pre-match, because the pre-match was hard for them", Mourinho said.

Former Arsenal midfielder Merson believes Chelsea FC will inflict a fourth league defeat of the season upon Mourinho and his Manchester United side to leave their rivals toiling in mid-table.

"Even today we don't have every player back, so it is a bit odd when you come from the global week, but I think the feelings of the last match remain, so the players are fine, are happy and focused".

The Portuguese won three Premier League titles in two successful spells in charge of Chelsea, but has lost all three of his previous visits to Stamford Bridge as United manager without even scoring a goal.

Mourinho is also dealing with injury problems ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge with Alexis Sanchez and Marouane Fellaini both doubts, although Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw have both travelled after missing worldwide duty. "The key is for the players to be able to do it".
