"Imran Khan is the father of the child", superior court commissioner Anthony Jones said in a brief hearing in the United States court, according to the petitioner.

BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said that China will continue to provide assistance and support to Pakistan's economic and social development in accordance with the needs of the Pakistani side and through mutual agreement. He had also said that no other country had tackled poverty and corruption the way China did.

Hua Chunying said the two sides agreed that we should further strengthen the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and forge a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. "We enjoy very good relationship that has been operating at a very high level", she said.

Pakistan's foreign reserves have plunged 42 percent since the start of the year and now stand at about $8 billion, or less than two months of import cover. While earlier reports said that China had assured a sum of $6 billion, some media reports later quoted senior Chinese officials as saying that "more talks" would be needed for finalising the aid.

Hua said that China was satisfied with Khan's visit during which the two countries agreed to deepen their ties and to complete the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with a stronger commitment.

Dawood concluded the press conference, saying he was planning to declare one of the existing industrial zones as prioritised Special Economic Zone (SEZ) under CPEC to fast-track the pace of relocation of Chinese industries to Pakistan.
