The L.A. Times reported that a total of 75,000 homes in both Ventura and Los Angeles counties are now under mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders, including Westlake Village and parts of Calabasas, where numerous entertainers including Alyssa Milano and Kim Kardashian have lavish homes.
The fire was driven by heavy winds last night.
Unfortunately, Scott Derrickson, best known for directing Doctor Strange, announced on Twitter early this morning that his home has been lost in the fire.
No injuries have been reported in either fire. Television reports showed several homes on fire in the Oak Park community.
The blaze that started Thursday morning east of Paradise and decimated the town also spread to the west.

Voluntary evacuations have been added in Ventura County for Lake Sherwood and the area south of Hwy 101 and north of Potrero Road between Westlake Boulevard and Wendy Drive in Thousand Oaks.
"While a lot of my yard and neighbors' yards burned, the firefighters saved our homes", Janic tweeted just after 2 a.m. (5 a.m. ET) Friday. The highway is expected to remain closed Friday morning, Ventura County Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen said.
