Speaking to Omnisport, the 34-year old revealed that this will indeed be his last season at the club. It is the end of a very good and long period.
"This will probably be the previous year for Robben and Ribery at Bayern", Hoeness said following the game against Werder Bremen.
"I feel good right now, I want to be fully recovered in one or two weeks".
Robben's crowning glory in a Bayern shirt came when he scored an 89th-minute victor to down domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the 2012-13 Champions League final, a year after they lost a penalty shoot-out against Chelsea on home turf in the 2012 showpiece.
"The club moves on and I may move on".
The Colombia star, who top-scored at the 2014 FIFA World Cup with six goals, started just five of Bayern's Bundesliga games this season before a knee ligament injury ruled him out until 2019 days before the Klassiker.
Though Robben has announced his departure, he also left the possibility open for another move. "I won't stop completely yet".
Where Robben moves is to be seen. If a return to the Netherlands is not in the works, it is possible Robben may sign in the Chinese Super League or Major League Soccer to secure a final paycheck.
"This is my past year at Bayern".
Club chairman Uli Hoeness expressed gratitude towards Robben and long-time teammate Franck Ribery, who is also rumored to leave at the end of the season. Father time is undefeated, and for Robben it is now time to ride off into the sunset.
