Praise for the newest royal was near unanimous, with one member of the congregation saying she had spoken "very clearly" during a powerful performance. The Duchess of Sussex made an announced solo visit to the King's College London on Wednesday, December 5.

The Duchess joined university leaders to explore how further learning can address human trafficking, slavery and gender equality.

The royal mom-to-be wore a dark outfit for the occasion, while styling her dark tresses down.

After the talk, Meghan was taken backstage to meet privately with Michelle where the pair had a private chat together for fifteen minutes.

The Duchess has previously highlighted the importance of education.

The event follows her speech to students at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji in October.

Meghan spoke at the time of her struggle to finance her higher education and her "personal feeling of pride and excitement" when she studied for her degree. From the moment you receive your acceptance letter, to the exams you spend countless late nights studying for, the lifelong friendships you make with your fellow alumni, and the moment you receive your diploma. The pair continued to chat about their charitable endeavours with a focus on educational programmes for women in less economically developed countries.

Meghan noted, "Everyone should be afforded the opportunity to receive the education they want, but more importantly the education they have the right to receive".

A woman, believed to be a protection officer, entered the pub first to ask bar staff if a little girl could use the bathroom. Providing them with access to education is the key to economic and social development.

The royal couple quietly entered the church through a back entrance shortly before 7pm, with Pippa Middleton, sister to the Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband James also in attendance. The service raises money for the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, a charity named after Harry's friend who passed away in 2002. Past year marked Kate and Meghan's first joint outing as they curtsied to Her Majesty in attractive Christmas coats, and fans will surely be thrilled to catch another glimpse of the former Suits star's sweet bump.
