Uri trailer out Vicky Kaushal's intense performance will give you goosebumps

URI, based on real-life, refers to PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on a true story that traces back to one of the important events in Indian history, of surgical strikes against the suspected militants in Pakistani-administered Kashmir.

Right after signing Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Yami Gautam had signed another film URI - The Surgical Strike. Several of his friends from the Bollywood fraternity have posted their reactions to the trailer of the film, and needless to say, all are positive ones. The film is a tribute to the Indian Armed force and the 2.24 minute-long trailer shows how the makers have depicted the famous surgical strike on the screen with much brilliance. The director Aditya Dhar has tried to connect the audience with the emotions of 19 soldier's death who martyered in the Uri attack.




Vicky Kaushal is seen donning the avatar of an army commando who heads the surgical strike in Uri. Besides Vicky Kaushal and Mohit Raina, Yami Gautam, Kriti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal are also playing very pivotal roles in the film. Vicky Kaushal, who plays an Army officer, vows to bring justice for his brothers, who died in the terror attack. Yami is a tough intelligence officer, while we get just a glimpse of Kirti as a fighter pilot.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and is slated to hit theatres on January 11, 2019.
