Stranger Things 3: The Game Trailer World Premiere

It's been over a year since Stranger Things 2 turned the Netflix series into an even bigger worldwide smash.

As one of Netflix's most popular series, Stranger Things and its '80s vibes and creepy, supernatural tone are a flawless fit for games, with a new title in the works from the Duffer Brothers based on the upcoming third season.

The game is set to follow the events of the shows highly anticipated season 3.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators behind the original Netflix series "Stranger Things" announced the retro style game. It's coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC.

The game is being developed by BonusXP who previously released the Stranger Things mobile game, and looks to be largely reminiscent of that title with upgraded visuals.

It appears to be a beat-em-up game in the vein of the popular games of the genre from the 16-bit era, with some light puzzle elements as well based on what we were able to glean from the short trailer. Video games have come a long way since then.

There's a new game based on Stranger Things in the works!

Stranger Things season 3 is expected to stream on Netflix in 2019 and Stranger Things 3: The Game will presumably hit all consoles around the same time.
